The Augustinian Thomaskirche wasbuilt in 1212 and is famous because
this is where Martin Luther introduced
the reformation of Albertine Saxony
in 1539 (Proteston Church)
Bach was also cantor here in 1723-1750
(as well as other churches) and is buried here....
