TRIP TO THE COTTAGE ON THE FRENCH RIVER

The trip takes 4 and an half hours.
Sue like to drive at night no traffic and
we get there just in time for breaky :)
We do a pit stop for gas and Timmys.
The first 4 hours was like this, it finally
cleared when we got off the 69 hyway..

This is the long road you have to go on to get
to the cottage.. There are 4 cottages on this road
and DS is the last one..

This is MDBL John in the first pic he is dressed
to do some whipping and in the next one he was
eating the fruit of our labour. Us girls went strawberry
picking, Shirley was making jam.
I have to say Ontario grows the best strawberries
in the world...

Now how cool is this. It was sitting in the tree
on the top of the hill so Sue brought it down
so I can take pics of the hornets nest.
It is a work of art from nature beautiful..

These and the pics below are the garden
and some accents. The lights on the pole
are fairy lights and are solar. They twinkle
at night really cool.. I want to make a
fairy for the tree with some glow in the dark
embelishments...

The chippies, they got so much cracked corn

At least three times a day this little family,
another one with 4 babies and 4 bigger
ones from last year . Come up to the deck
and DS feeds them cracked corn.
The babies are so sweet,
I just wanted to pet them but not a chance.
You should see them waddle real quickly
back down to the river just to cute..

This is the fabulous new deck they added this year.
They are putting another one on the front but lower..
My DS wants to cover the bottom, I told her to use
tree limbs in a design, might do that on our next visit in Aug..
