Magpies Envy

RUST RUST RUST !!!!!!
I love it, I did 3 pieces and took 11 pics ,I like them all so much could't choose which ones to post so posted them all... LOL
The green pieces I unwrapped only after a few days, should have left it longer, so I thought I would try some color on it, I used, some water down acrylic paint blues and green and some green koolaid and a few teaspoons of green Tintex fabric dye. I put in in a small bowl and put a small plate on it so it would all be submerged and left it over night.
I really didn't like it till I saw it in the pics I took...
It looks like the beginning of a underwater scene :):)
One piece is a cotton bag we used to get our Cream of Wheat bag at work, I took one home hoping to use it one day..
I flip them all over to see how each side looks...
I love this processe it always a surprise when you unwrap it and the look is so cool, I could see cutting up large pieces and making a patched skirt out of them..
I'm going to do a lot of these so if anyone is interested in purchasing one they are around 52cm by 77cm for 20 pounds or 40 dollars, I'm new at selling so forgive me if this isn't worded right:):)
OK this will be my last posting for a little while.. I'm going on holidays for 2 weeks, but you can be sure if I'm near a computer I'll just have to come and check on all my friends, and yes I'll be talking about you, telling them all about all the lovely creative people I have met on line..... I'll be thinking of you all..
I'm going to a family Reunion our 45th one, then visiting my DB in Espanola Ont. a visit to my favorite place in Canada, Manitoulin Island on Lake Huron.
Then to my DS cottage on the French River, who by the way stays there from May till Oct..
Take care of yourselves talk to you soon...
