Finally finished them both, shesh that was quite the project, first time I have ever been late. Won't happen again. I do love how they turned out...... I used a halloween witches hat, cut the pattern out with my soldering iron, since it was felt and organza. I hand stitched the web on the boot top. Added a bit of copper fairy dust to give it a bit of magic:):):) Posted by Picasa

Our Monthly Challenge

Oh boy, this was a hard one for me, hand stitching
is very new to me well except hemming pants lol.
I never do anything simple, so I have been sewing
all month, and sadly I have only totally finished one.
The other will be finished by tomorrow night,
just have to add the beads..
Its 2:30 am and I'm seeing double now, so I'm off
to bed. Have to get up early to go swimming.

Here it is... Posted by Picasa

Fathers Day

Sunday was Fathers day.
Since Jan's Father has adopted me,
we decided to take him for a picnic. We took him to Simcoe
to feed the birds. He use to take the kids there when they
were little.. Jan's sister also came in from Toronto to spend
the day with us.. It was hot, hot, hot in the high 30s.
We had a great day inspite of the heat, great food
fabulous company. Happy Fathers day Roy...

Our First stop since it was soooo hot, we stopped a Hewits famous for great icecream. Hoping to cool us off. It was so hot our icecream was turning to liquid in our cones. We all driped some in us couldn't eat it fast enough... Posted by Picasa

I started the day by trying to use silk dye using an onion for a stamp, I had left it in the fridge cut to dry out. So the first ones were just big round circles. Then I tried a few times just stamping lightly, not to bad. I also did some on some on paper, better. I think I'll try some bleach on another onion and use it on the big mango blobs see what happens...  Posted by Picasa
